Turn Ons: I'm a sucker for Classical Pilates!
Turn Offs: Private & Semi-Private Pilates sessions share the same space & run concurrently with Tower classes, making it difficult to hear &/or stay focused sometimes.

Variety is the spice of life. That's why I'm not a "strictly in the bedroom" type of gal. And I'm no prude when it comes to my Pilates classes either. I like to mix it up a bit and get my "scoop" on in new and different spots around the city. So, I slipped on the same matchy-matchy Lululemon attire I had retired since my teaching days and headed to Power Pilates on W23rd St for a Tower Class with Alana.
I must say, like any good partner, she listened intently to my needs (I was currently nursing an injury and needed some exercise modifications) before proceeding to turn us out; all eight of us at the mercy of the torture device called "the tower". We were hypnotized under the control of her gentle yet confident voice as she succinctly dictated the details of each exercise. Clearly understanding the need for a little foreplay before jumping right into "the hundred", we started class with a series of Pilates-based abdominal exercises to tease and titillate our core. Then, she laid it on us with the classical series of Pilates exercises in perfect rhythm and flow. She was definitely dominant and us submissive; desperately trying to please by "scooping our powerhouses" as deeply as possible and "hugging our mid-lines" until our inner-thighs trembled.
Knowing the importance of mixing things up a bit, she got kinda creative with the leg springs, arm springs, push-thru and roll-back bars of "the tower" in a way that had me teetering the balance of pain and pleasure in the most satisfying way. By the end of class, I had declared myself officially "whipped" and ready to come back for more. Alana received a standing ovation before all eight of us left the studio with an afterglow one only gets from a body-mind altering Pilates class!
