Turn Offs: It’s West Village location meant there were plenty of men, but they weren’t checkin’ for the ladies.

Roaming ravenously through the West Village before my much-needed therapy session, I stumbled across Good Restaurant. How could I possibly go wrong when I was craving exactly that; a good restaurant?
It was comfy and casual with subdued neutral tones of grey, chocolate brown and beige, crisp white linens and decorated with salvaged lighting fixtures and artwork. I’ll call it “modern-rustic” although a skilled designer might cringe at my description. I nestled myself into a corner banquette seat in the window and noticed I was the only woman amongst pairs of men. I could care less but made a mental note that Good Restaurant won’t go on my list of pick-up spots. Not to say I’ll never return, though, because “Good Burger Sundays” sounds quite tempting with its unique burger creations, house-made condiments & sides. I’ll just bring a book.
Today wasn’t a burger day though. It was blazing hot outside and all I craved was a salad. What a GOOD choice! Mixed greens, roasted pears, walnuts, melt in your mouth cubes of aged cheddar (yum) and a generously sized breast of chicken, grilled to perfection and tossed with an apple cider vinaigrette. I savored every bite. Yes it was good. It was very, very good.
